November 16, 2015

The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett, has offered his warmest congratulations to local Lisburn business Huhtamaki Ltd on its 50th Anniversary.

With the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart and Alderman Jim Dillon; the Mayor was delighted to receive Mr Corin Goodall, Huhtamaki Business Manager and staff members from Huhtamaki to Lagan Valley Island in Lisburn.

Huhtamaki Paper Recycling is a leading waste paper and cardboard recycler based in Lisburn and has been operating since 1965.  The business is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and is part of the global Huhtamaki Group.

The Mayor said: “Any business which can mark 50 years is a business that has adapted with changing times and that ensures customer service is of a very high standard.  It gives me great pleasure to welcome people who work so hard to make the business that they are part of a success.

“The people in a business are the most important part of it and this is a team that clearly works well together.

“Our congratulations go to Corin and all the team.  We wish Huhtamaki every success as it continues a very successful operation,” concluded Councillor Beckett.
