Mayor congratulates Hillmount Garden Centre’s 75 years in business

The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett, has hosted a reception to mark Hillmount Garden Centre’s 75 years in business. 

Councillor Beckett said:  “I am delighted that the Mercer family, who run Hillmount Garden Centre, and staff members could mark this occasion with the Council at Lagan Valley Island.  Our congratulations go to all the team at Hillmount Garden Centre, which is so popular and well-known for the great variety of customer choice.

“This is a family-run business and it is a labour of love and dedication which has spanned over decades.  Hillmount looks especially fantastic at Christmas-time and so many families make it an essential part of their Christmas experience.  I look forward to visiting this Christmas, and to strengthening our links with Hillmount Garden Centre which is a fantastic asset to the Council area.
