November 20, 2015

You Got It For Less’ in Lisburn this weekend

Starting this Thursday19 November 2015, a 3–day discount shopping event will run across Lisburn City Centre, involving more than 100 stores.

Over the three–day period the majority of shops taking part will also be open for late night shopping on Thursday 19th November and Friday 20th November.

The event has been designed to offer Christmas shoppers a range of unique discounts and experience the great value to be found in Lisburn’s family–friendly, city centre atmosphere.

Over the three day period a number of participating stores will offer discounts unique to Lisburn customers. “You Got It For Less” marketing material throughout the city centre will help shoppers to find participating retailers and traders.

Participating shops include big–brand high–street stores and top–quality independent retailers offering everything from high–end designer fashion to unique gifts for all the family at Christmas.

Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee said: “Lisburn is the second largest city in Northern Ireland with a strong history of independent retailing and this Christmas, with over 100 stores taking part, traders in Lisburn City Centre have shown overwhelming support for the campaign. This is the start of a series of festive events happening over the coming weeks that will see Lisburn as the place to add to your shopping list this year.’

Alderman Jim Dillon, Vice Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, said: “The Council have recently completed the refurbishment works to Market Square. The event space will be utilised imaginatively to continually attract shoppers and visitors into the City Centre and the “You Got It For Less” Campaign is no exception. We hope the three–day period will be a great success for shoppers taking advantage of some great Christmas deals and for traders to increase footfall.’’
