August 20, 2022
Mayor Councillor Scott Carson led out the Parade Lap at the Ulster Grand Prix Centenary Celebrations at Dundrod Circuit on Saturday.
Mayor Carson joined 99 other riders on a lap of the circuit and was pleased to make a presentation to legendary Dromara Destroyer, Raymond McCullough, who has had a fast uphill section of the circuit named ‘Ray’s Rise’ in his honour.
Mayor Carson said: “It was a privilege to lead out the parade lap at such a prestigious event marking the centenary of the Ulster Grand Prix.
“It was brilliant to see many motorcycling enthusiast come together to celebrate and also enjoy the entertainment on offer including classic bikes, vintage cars and family fun for all ages.
“I also want to thank all of those who, during the day, donated to my Mayoral charities, Helping Hand and The Atlas Centre, as they offer vital services to our local community.”
We are delighted to have sponsored the event through our Leisure & Community Development team.
