Statement of Sympathy from the Mayor, Councillor Tim Morrow

April 5, 2018

The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Tim Morrow, has extended his deepest sympathies to the family of the late Mr Michael Rickard.  A Lisburn resident, Mr Rickard was involved in supporting the Mayor’s Charity Quiz as a quizmaster.

Councillor Tim Morrow said: “I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to Michael’s family. I was very shocked and deeply saddened to learn of his sudden passing. Michael was good enough to be involved in the arrangements for my Mayoral Quiz, which of course as a mark of respect to him we have cancelled.  Michael had a long history working with the Council and with former Mayors on the annual Mayor’s Charity Quiz events and I know my colleagues will have been very sorry indeed to hear of his sudden passing.

My thoughts and prayers are with Michael’s family circle during this very difficult time,” said the Mayor.
