Over 3000 residents complete Kerbside Recycling Survey
November 9, 2021
More than 3000 residents completed Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Kerbside Recycling Survey.
The survey, which was live for a period of 8 weeks in July and August 2021, gathered residents’ views on their preferred method of collection for recyclable materials such as paper, card, cans, plastics and glass from their homes.
Cllr Andrew Ewing, Chairman of the Council’s Environmental Services Committee said “I would like to thank everyone who completed our survey.
“We are committed to reviewing and improving our kerbside recycling collections to ensure we can meet challenging recycling targets while continuing to deliver high quality services that work for everyone. It is important that we listen to everyone on this journey.
“I also want to congratulate the three lucky winners who received an Amazon Echo Dot for participating in the survey.”
The results of the survey will now be used as part of an ongoing review of the current kerbside recycling services.
The council will use this information to identify the best collection model for all residents which will introduce a harmonised recycling service to the area.
