New PCSP Chairman Appointed

Councillor Scott Carson has been appointed as the Chairman of the incoming Lisburn & Castlereagh Policing and Community Safety Partnership. His term begins today and runs to 30th June 2016.
Councillor Carson aspires to work closely with the PCSP Officers, fellow committee members and all agencies to deliver community safety across the Council area and to work with the PSNI to deliver local solutions to local problems.
Speaking about his year ahead, Councillor Carson said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the Chairman of the first partnership following the Review of Public Administration. I look forward to working closely with local Police, agencies and the community in doing all I can to secure adequate physical and human resources to successfully police the Council area, minimise crime and keep our local communities safe,” he concluded.
