New businesses open in Lisburn City Centre

August 20, 2019

Two new businesses have been added to the Lisburn city centre offering – an accountancy firm which works solely with all sectors of the medical profession and a kitchen manufacturer.

Sharon Hamilton, one of Northern Ireland's leading medical accountants, opened Med Financial Specialist Medical Accountants in Market Square.  This independent firm of Chartered Accountants provides accountancy, taxation and business advice to medical professionals. Sharon and her team of specially trained staff currently advise over 50 GP practices across Northern Ireland, newly qualified doctors, locum GPs, hospital consultants and other medical related businesses.

Howdens Joinery is the UK's largest manufacturer and supplier of fitted kitchens, appliances and joinery products to trade professionals. Its new depot in Young Street, Lisburn offers a free kitchen design service; and stocks a range of products including: integrated kitchens, kitchen appliances, interior and exterior doors and joinery, hardware, and solid wood, laminate and vinyl flooring. With over 70 kitchen styles in stock, and an excellent range of accessories and finishes, each kitchen can be tailored to meet different needs and budgets.

Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee welcoming the businesses, said: “We are delighted to welcome these two businesses to Lisburn. The diverse range of businesses we are attracting to our city is a sign that the Lisburn economy is thriving. They each bring a uniqueness to the independent retail offering and I’ve no doubt their addition will be warmly welcomed by everyone. I wish both businesses every success and many happy years of trading.”
