Mayor's Charity Concert in aid of Cancer Fund for Children - Saturday 20th October

A Charity Band Concert will take place at Lagan Valley Island on Saturday 20th October from 7.30pm.

Band enthusiasts can enjoy the music of Symington Memorial Silver Band, Ballylesson Old Boys Flute Band, Balliesmills Accordion Band and Drumlough Pipe Band.

Tickets cost £10 and all proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Mayor’s nominated Charity, Cancer Fund for Children.

Compere on the evening will be Mr Gary Wilson.

Speaking ahead of the Concert, the Mayor, Councillor Uel Mackin said “Lisburn and Castlereagh has a long and proud tradition of making music and I am delighted that we are able to showcase the talents of four fabulous local bands for such a worthwhile cause.

“Whether it be silver, accordion, flute or pipe band music we have got something for everybody planned on the evening and I would warmly invite as many people as possible to come along and support these talented musicians and most importantly the amazing work of Cancer Fund for Children in Northern Ireland,” said Cllr Mackin.
