Mayor celebrates St John Ambulance Nurses & Midwives

A group of St John’s Ambulance nurses & midwives were guests of the Mayor Martin recently at Lagan Valley Island.

The Lord Lieutenant of County Antrim, Mr David McCorkell KStJ also attended in his capacity as Knight Commander of the Commandery of Ards together with Mr Adrian Donaldson MBE DL OStJ, Chief Executive, St John Ambulance (Northern Ireland).

Honouring the incredible dedication of those in attendance the Mayor, said: “I want to pay special tribute to those from the nursing and midwifery professions in attendance each of whom not only volunteer with St John Ambulance but maintain their roles within the wider health & social care service as well. It was a privilege to witness each receive due recognition for their personal contribution as nurses and midwives to the work of St Johns Ambulance responding to the pandemic and supporting our community to meet again safely.”
