Encouraging residents to express their opinions Chairman of Governance and Audit, Alderman William Leathem, said that “the Corporate Plan would provide the blueprint for the Council’s activities for the next 2 years and it was important that residents have the opportunities to feed into the process. The main aim of local government reform was to offer improved and more effective local services and our Corporate Plan outlines at a high level how we will achieve.

“The Council has identified five key themes to progress community and culture, strong sustainable, economy and growth, place and environment, health and wellbeing, good governance and service delivery, and our priorities to our citizens under each of these themes.”

“This is a new era for local government and working with our ratepayers, our key partners and our agencies will be pivotal if we are to reach our full potential and I encourage everybody to express their views on the new Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Corporate Plan.
