Alderman Amanda Grehan, Chair of LCCC’s Development Committee, is delighted to hear the latest expansion news from Irish food oil firm Frylite Ltd. The hospitality supplier has just launched a new depot in Lisburn to accommodate the increased demand for its products.
The company currently employs 230 staff across their existing bases in Coleraine, Cork, Dublin, Galway, and its headquarters in Strabane.
Speaking about the announcement, she said: “This is excellent news for our local economy, especially in the current climate. The launch of the firm’s sixth depot represents an investment of £2m and the creation of 25 jobs, including a new Depot Manager.
"Frylite aim to employ up to 60 staff at the new Lisburn base over the next few years with roles in delivery, warehousing and sales. This news is extremely positive for Lisburn and Castlereagh, and local people will benefit.
“On behalf of the council, I would like to wish them well in their expansion and every continued success.”
