Flembot Solutions Benefits from the Go for It Programme

July 30, 2018

Andrew Fleming recently started his new business Flembot Solutions after taking part in the ‘Go for It’ programme.  Flembot Solutions, based in Dundonald, is the 100th business to have received support from Inspire Business Centre, which is delivering Go for It on behalf of the Council.

Go for It is part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund under the Investment for Growth & Jobs Northern Ireland (2014-2020) Programme.

Alderman William Leathem, Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, visiting Flembot Solutions, said: “It was a pleasure to meet Andrew who has demonstrated true entrepreneurial spirit in setting up an IT company offering support for all computing and IT requirements.  As the 100th business within the Dundonald area to avail of the current phase of the Go for It programme, Flembot Solutions opening is a memorable milestone for both Inspire Business Centre and the Council.

“Technology is such a large part of our everyday lives and like most things used regularly issues can occur and repairs or updates are needed.  Andrew has the technological experience and knowledge to help both businesses and private individuals with their computing needs whether it be consultancy, updates, networking or repairs.  As he is self-employed, Andrew can offer competitive rates to suit all budgets.

“Andrew is not only skilled at setting up IT systems and repairing computers he can also create new websites for businesses and offer graphic design services for individuals, charities or businesses.  With such a wide range of skills I am confident Andrew will succeed in everything he puts his mind to and I wish him every success in the future.”

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council manages the contract for the well-known Go for It programme, which is the collective responsibility of all 11 councils to deliver across Northern Ireland.

Andrew added: “I found the support offered by the Go for It programme very valuable. It offered guidance on my business plan to identify growth potential, potential customer market base, expenditure and predicted income.  The advice provided by Inspire was excellent; and being based within its business centre has ongoing benefits in terms of affordability and the continued presence of business experts to assist with any concerns I may have as a new start-up.”

Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Vice-Chair of the Council’s Development Committee, concluded: “Go for It is an invaluable business start-up programme created by Invest Northern Ireland; and the Council is charged with leading and managing the contract over the next few years.  To date 2,000 new businesses have been established thanks to this programme that operates in all 11 council areas.  If you live in the Lisburn Castlereagh area and wish to start your own business then why not be part of the Go for It programme.  Locally based business advisors will provide you with advice and support to meet your dreams of being your own boss!

“I would like to congratulate all our budding entrepreneurs as they get their businesses up and running.  We look forward to seeing thousands more new businesses start-up with Go for It support.”
