Council reopens Glenmore Activity Centre
September 23, 2020
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will reopen another one of its leisure facilities on Friday 25th September as Glenmore Activity Centre welcomes back customers and Vitality members to the popular Lisburn facility.
Located on Glenmore Park, the centre will offer a range of activities and sessions, including the gym, classes and the highly sought after gymnastics course. Pre-booking for all sessions is essential at this time and no walk-in customers will be permitted entry without an advance booking.
Alderman Michael Henderson MBE, Chairman of the Leisure & Community Development Committee, speaking about the opening of Glenmore Activity Centre said: “The council is delighted to reopen a further leisure facility to provide a choice of venues and activities to customers and Vitality members looking to return to physical activity, or take their first step to getting active.
“Glenmore Activity Centre plays a pivotal role in the local community by offering people of all ages a venue where they can come together to build friendships and enhance their physical and mental health. The reopening of the centre will be very much welcomed by regular users who have been looking forward to returning to their class or session.
“For the safety of customers, the centre will operate in accordance with current operating guidance and restrictions for gathering and social distancing. This includes having in place a stringent and regular cleaning regime, along with restricted numbers and opening times within the centre to put customers’ minds at rest.”
All session times, including the gym must be booked online by visiting www.theleisureplex.com. Customers are advised to read the latest safety information prior to visiting a centre.
