Council leads the way in Global Entrepreneurship Week

Local Entrepreneur Philip Bain joined Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council on the final day of a week-long series of events aimed at celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week.  

At the morning event SMEs heard from Philip on his personal business success, focusing on how to lead your business to successful growth. Philip, who is the co-founder of award winning company ShredBank, also launched his latest book ‘Start to Lead’, which is the follow up to his Top 10 Amazon Best Selling book ‘Start to Grow’.

Chairman of the Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Uel Mackin and Philip Bain are joined by local businesses and Entrepreneurs keen to learn from Philip’s story of his entrepreneurial journey.

Speaking at the event Chairman of the Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Uel Mackin, said: “Philip has worked with the Council’s Business Solutions Team on many occasions and it is great that he can join us to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016.  His story and his success is truly commendable and many businesses can learn from his experience. His latest book ‘Start to Lead’ offers great advice to businesses and essentially it is an Entrepreneurs guide on how to grow a business.”

In the afternoon students from Wallace High School and Friends joined Councillor Uel Mackin, Philip Bain and Young Enterprise NI for an afternoon of inspirational advice on starting your own business.
