Council approves new residential development at Old Hillsborough Road

November 10, 2022

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s planning committee has approved plans for 90 new residential units at Old Hillsborough Road, Lisburn.

Commenting on the recent planning decision, Chair of LCCC’s Planning Committee, Alderman James Tinsley, said:

“The new social housing development will see 90 new high-quality homes added to the local area. Units include a range of detached, semi-detached houses, apartments, bungalows and townhouses. The approved plans consist of associated car parking and landscaping on land at the new development on Old Hillsborough Road.

“Lisburn continues to grow as a thriving place to live, work, visit and stay. This new infrastructure will provide property opportunities for existing residents, families and individuals interested in living in the local area.

“I recognise the need for sustainable and spacious homes, and this development paves the way towards increasing housing provision in the council area while also contributing to a vibrant community.”
