Aqua-Natal Yoga Classes Now Available at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex

December 14, 2016

Lagan Valley LeisurePlex is pleased to introduce a specialist Aqua-Natal Yoga course, which has been designed to help expectant mothers prepare for the arrival of their little ones.

Also ideal for post-natal mums, the Aqua-Natal Yoga class makes exercising that little bit easier and is one of the best activities you can do for your body, mind and baby.

As the classes provide a multitude of physical and emotional benefits for you and your baby, and all in a calm and relaxed environment, mums-to-be are encouraged to attend from the first to the fourth trimester. Expectant mothers will learn how to prepare for child birth, learn breathing techniques, connect with their unborn baby and maintain fitness and strength.

Speaking about the Aqua-Natal Yoga classes, Chairman of Leisure & Community Development Committee, Councillor Tim Morrow said: “Medical professionals seek to continually promote the importance and value of staying physically active during pregnancy and this new class aims to do just that.

“This class provides the perfect platform for all likeminded mums-to-be to come together to enjoy exercise during pregnancy and learn new skills, which help in the preparation for childbirth.

“The classes are set in a social setting, where expectant mothers can get to know one another, share their experiences and become lifelong friends.  I would encourage anyone who is pregnant to come along, irrespective of your level of fitness, and experience a positive led and relaxed class.”

Classes are accredited by the Royal College of Midwives and are held at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex every Thursday at 2.00pm, for approximately 40 minutes. Each class costs £8.00pp.
