AB Pneumatics Hosts Business Engagement Visit

Council representatives recently visited local company AB Pneumatics as part of an ongoing programme of engaging with local businesses. The company has recently moved to larger new premises on the Glenavy Road and has ambitious growth plans for the future.
The Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett; Alderman Allan Ewart, Chairman of the Development Committee and Alderman Jim Dillon, Vice-Chair of the Development Committee were part of the Council delegation that visited AB Pneumatics.
Speaking about the expansion the Mayor, said; “It is excellent news that a local company has increased its workforce four-fold in a six year period with an aspiration to create two further positions next year. This local company services the automotive industry through the provision of items such as seat air springs and shock absorber sleeves which are placed in well-known brands such as BMW and Land Rover models.”
AB Pneumatics has invested in new testing equipment that will assist it to generate more customers through assuring Original Equipment Manufacturers of its high product quality. It can offer quality aftermarket parts to a range of vehicle suppliers and looks forward to securing business with more well-known manufacturers in the future.
Alderman Allan Ewart added: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to see first-hand this local business success story. Over recent years AB Pneumatics has availed of several council business support programmes covering areas such as sales development and trade development programmes to identify new export markets. It is a proactive business which must be commended for its drive and vision to grow and expand its customer base.”
With sales of over £1 million in 2015 AB Pneumatics through hard work and commitment hopes to grow its sales by 20% in 2016.
