Your Age, Your Community, Your Opinion – a conversation about growing older
October 27, 2020
The Baby Boomer generation, known for its independence and self assurance, is getting older, and local councils want to find out how public services can help them retain their independence. Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has joined forces with Ards and North Down Borough Council and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council to ask over 50s about the positives and challenges of growing older.
Each council aims to be ‘Age Friendly’ and ‘Your Age, Your Community, Your Opinion’ will help them better understand life in local communities for residents over 50. If you are in this age bracket, then please share your experiences and your concerns to help identify where public services can be improved to better meet your needs.
‘Your Age, Your Community, Your Opinion’ is a great opportunity for you to help improve services in our area. You can get involved by completing a survey, available online via our Facebook Page @LisburnCastlereagh or phone 07962 300361 for assisted completion. You can also get involved by joining the discussion in an online workshop – details of which are also on our Facebook page or phone 07962 300361 for assistance.
