We’re made up about Moira’s new cosmetic store!

June 30, 2022

BTY, a hugely successful independent cosmetic retailer, has recently opened its doors in Rawdon Court, Moira.

Having already opened a store two years ago in Victoria Square Belfast, owner Rachel McCully was keen to grow the business by expanding her brand presence to the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council area.

Rachel is passionate about the beauty industry and quick to try out new brands and trends. However, a few years back she realised that Northern Ireland was missing a place to indulge in unique, hard-to-get products that were up and coming in the beauty world. From her love and passion, BTY was born.

Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s (LCCC) Development Committee, Ald Allan Ewart MBE, visited the new Moira store and welcomed Rachel to the council area as part of a business engagement exercise.

Together they discussed future growth of the business, as well as the range of council business support programmes available. These included the mentor growth programme, which supports local companies to receive mentor support on a range of topics such as marketing, sales and business growth.

Ald Ewart said: “I am most impressed by the new BTY store in Moira and wish Rachel every success with her business. Moira is a wonderful village, full of unique and independent stores. BTY will add to the high quality retail offering already there, bringing curiosity, excitement and increased footfall to the village. I’m delighted Rachel chose our council area in which to expand and look forward to seeing how things progress for BTY in the future.”

Rachel added: “I am so excited to open BTY in Moira village! As a resident myself, I've watched the village grow over the past few years. The varied offerings Moira now possess really has put it on the map as the place to visit, it is great to now be a part of it.'

LCCC will continue to visit a number of local businesses in a bid to engage and support the local business community. For more information on the council’s Business Support Programmes please email greg.allen@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk
