February 10, 2022
Wellness at the Square is a welcome addition to Lisburn City Centre providing visitors with the opportunity to look after their physical and mental wellbeing using the latest cutting edge technology.
The new business located in Lisburn Square is the latest to open its doors benefiting from funding received through the Council’s Urban Investment Fund.
Wellness at the Square boasts a range of therapeutic treatments, an in-house juice bar with a wide range of delicious fresh juices and smoothies as well as healthy on the go food and snacks.
Lisa and Mark, Owners of Wellness at the Square, explained the attraction of setting up business in Lisburn: “Lisburn was an obvious choice for us. It has good road & rail links plus plenty of affordable parking. This makes it easy for people to access our services and we are loving our location and the people we meet every day.
“We were delighted to get funding from the Council. It provided our business with the much needed boost to allow us to open. The City Centre Team at LCCC provided excellent support guiding us through the process.
“Our infrared saunas, dry floatation and PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field) therapies are already proving popular. They can address a wide range of needs and support you on your journey to better health.
“Whether it’s pain relief, injury recovery, detoxification, weight loss or simply a need to relax and unwind, our studio offers you the means to achieve this. You can enjoy our treatments in ambient and relaxing treatment rooms infused with essential oils and equipped with medical grade chronotherapy which is colour light therapy.”
Alderman Amanda Grehan, Chair of LCCC’s Development Committee, said: “Wellness at the Square is a very welcome addition to our City and the availability of the Urban Investment Fund has enabled the City Centre to increase the variety of services on offer.
“We are delighted that they have decided to open their store in Lisburn. This is further evidence that the Lisburn economy is thriving and there are great opportunities for businesses who are thinking of setting up in a new location.
“Lisburn has a long and proud history of family run businesses trading in the City Centre. They bring a uniqueness to the independent retail offer and I’ve no doubt this addition will be warmly welcomed by everyone. We wish them every success and many happy years of trading.”
This project was funded through the Department for Communities’ (DfC) Covid-19 Recovery Revitalisation Programme which was introduced to support towns and city centres in their recovery.
