Walking in a Window Wonderland

Share the Magic of the Season with the wonderful Christmas window displays that come alive at the Lisburn Light Festival on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th December (4pm-6pm).

Come and enjoy a celebration of local award-winning dancers, mischievous mime artists, and exhilarating live music performances throughout Lisburn city centre. There will be four live shows both evenings, with each of the featured windows telling a story inspired by the beautiful Christmas song, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’:

Market Square South: Festive frolics with Santa and his elves as they create mischief with the Five Gold Rings featuring the award-winning Fusion Theatre Lisburn.
Market Square North: A beautiful interpretation of Swan Lake as service-users from the Orchardville Society bring the Seven Swans a Swimming story to life.
Lisburn Square South: Toe-tapping, hand clapping tunes from the pitch-perfect Pipers & Drummers of the Royal Irish Regiment Military Band.
Bow Street Mall: Enjoy the phenomenal footwork of Nine Ladies Dancing and Ten Lords a Leaping as the McGuigan School of Irish Dancing transform into the woodland wildlife of Wallace Park.

Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Chair of the council’s Development Committee commented: “The council is delighted to bring this special event to the city centre as part of the Lisburn Light Festival. You will have already noticed the beautiful themed shop windows throughout the city centre as many of our local businesses have fully embraced the festive season. I am looking forward to seeing the live window performances that highlight the wealth of local talent in Lisburn; and I hope that residents and visitors alike will come along and enjoy them too. While in Lisburn be sure to enjoy our regular lights shows and other light festival installations across the city centre too.”
