Twilight Night by Fairy Light 2018 - a superb Enchanting Evening of Hallowe’en Thrills!
October 27, 2018
It may have been a nippy night but the weather didn’t stop thousands of thrill-seekers enjoying the spectacle of a theatrical wonderland at Lisburn’s oldest Victorian setting in Wallace Park on Friday 26 October.
The spectacle saw breath-taking acrobatic feats, vibrant, high-impact performances by the infamous SPARK! LED drummers together with a host of bespoke light and soundscapes that captivated the thousands of people attracted to the event, which sold out in under 17 minutes of sale.
Revellers were led through illuminated pathways, which were home to a host of magical creatures, including fairies, trolls and dragons and a feast of other curiosities.
Mischievous pop-up characters, dancers and musicians, playfully roamed freely through the crowd adding to the bewitching atmosphere with the evening closing with a fantastic fireworks display.
Already looking forward to next year’s event, Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Leisure and Community Development Committee said:
“I am proud to see that Twilight Night by Fairy Light has developed into such a popular annual attraction for both residents from and visitors to our city and it is our intention as a Council to further build upon this success, next year.
I am delighted that all proceeds from the sale of wristbands from this year’s event will directly benefit the Mayoral Charity, the Cancer Fund for Children.”
