The Spanish U19 Women's Team is Training at Billy Neill Soccer Centre of Excellence

Councillor Rhoda Walker, Vice-Chair of the Council’s Leisure & Community Development Committee visited Billy Neill Soccer School of Excellence to meet with the Spanish Under 19 UEFA Women’s Team the morning after they beat the Northern Ireland team 2-0 at the National Stadium at Windsor Park.

Councillor Walker welcomed the team and presented the Head of the Spanish Delegation Ms Angeles Aguilera with a Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council plaque as they trained at the Billy Neill Soccer Centre of Excellent, which is their training venue for the duration of the UEFA Women’s Under 19 Football Championships. Head Coach Pedro Lopez was delighted with the training facilities and assistance from the Council in preparing the pitches. The Council wishes all eight teams in the Championship well which concludes with the final on 21st August.
