Survey Participants Collect Their Prizes
May 2, 2018
Three winners were chosen at random from the participants of the Council’s recent recycling and waste survey to receive one of the prizes on offer. Naomi McLaughlin won the £50 All4One gift card, Eric Patterson won the iPod shuffle and Denise Clement won the Kindle Oasis.
Nearly 300 residents completed the survey providing valuable information to help shape the Council’s waste management service.
Alderman Tommy Jeffers, Chairman of the Council’s Environmental Services Committee, speaking about the survey, said: “I would like to thank all the residents who took the time to complete our online survey. Your recycling habits and suggestions about our recycling and waste services are vital to ensure that as we move forward in our waste harmonisation exercise.
“Over the next while we will be progressing our plans to implement a waste management programme that is consistent across the whole council area. The survey findings have now given the Council important feedback on the current recycling arrangement and how they would like to see these develop, all of which will assist the Council with its waste harmonisation plans.”
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will keep its residents updated on all changes to its recycling and waste management programmes as they progress. It will use a number of promotional channels to ensure maximum awareness.
The Council’s Binformation App provides residents with information on their bin collection day, holiday arrangements, locate their nearest recycling location and discover more about recycling. It can be downloaded free of charge from https://www.lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk/binformation
