Statement on Lisburn New Cemetery Extension

Council correspondence was recently issued to a number of grave owners at Lisburn New Cemetery Extension adhering to requirements of it being a lawn cemetery. 

We recognise sensitivities involved in this matter, and, following representations to us, we can confirm that no further action will be taken until the situation has been fully reviewed. 

The Council will be directly contacting affected grave owners involved, in the coming days, to confirm this position.
