Purple Turnip Festival Returns to Lisburn Castlereagh

The Purple Turnip Festival is back in Lisburn Castlereagh with a family fun weekend on 26th and 27th October.

Market Square, Lisburn will be a hive of activity for young ones on Saturday 26th October from 11am -3pm. We hope to see families coming along and enjoying an interactive animal experience from Wee Critters and meeting Dobby the owl, snakes, a lizard, skunk, hedgehog, Arthur the armadillo and lots of creepy crawlies.

There will also be a spooktacular science magic show from the Party Professor and our younger residents can take part in the Jumping Clay workshop and meet Jack and Sally Skellington.

Our Purple Festival would not be complete without the terrific purple turnip hunt around the city centre so be sure to take part and have the chance to win spooky prizes with our cleverly hidden purple turnips.

On Sunday 27 October from 11am -4pm come along to Ballycanal Manor, Moria for an enchanting afternoon of activities hosted by the Lagan Navigation Trust. There will be arts and crafts workshops, a climbing wall and a Wee Critters interactive animal display. Don’t miss the samba drumming workshop by Beat Carnival, cookery demos from Stephen Jeffers from Forestside Cookery School and much more. The afternoon will finish with a lantern parade at Ballycanal Manor.
