Public consultation open on review of the Castlereagh Urban Integrated Development Framework (CUIDF)

March 29, 2021

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has opened a public consultation on its ‘Castlereagh Urban Integrated Development Framework’ document.  This online consultation will be open from Monday 29th March until Friday 28th May 2021.

The survey can be accessed online at www.lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk/consultations

Alderman Jim Dillon MBE, Chairman of the council’s Development Committee said:

“This framework sets out a long term, inspiring vision for the Carryduff, Dundonald and Forestside areas up to 2032. It identifies high-level regeneration projects and investment priorities for the areas and will assist the council and other partners in shaping a positive future. It has been revised to include the recent announcement of the proposed commercial development for Carryduff town centre demonstrating how Carryduff is in a position to attract significant outside investment.

“The council is mindful of the importance of reviewing the strategic context of the framework alongside the development of the Community Plan and as the Local Development Plan also emerges for Lisburn Castlereagh.  We want to hear the views of our residents, local businesses and those parties interested in the future development of the area.  These views will help us and our partners to establish a deliverable framework for the Castlereagh urban area.”

The consultation will take place online in accordance with the current Executive restrictions in place due to COVID-19.  If you require the documents in an alternative format or wish to provide your response via email or post please email Hollie.Molyneaux@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk
