Mayor Martin delighted by Colour Run success

Wallace Park was awash with colour yesterday (Sunday 10th April) as the Mayor’s Colour Run took place in support of the Mayoral Charities, Add N.I. and MACS Supporting Children & Young People.

Commenting on the event, Mayor Martin said “The Colour Run has been great fun with participants of all ages getting into the spirit of the event. Everyone was looking well doused with paint by the end of it all. We wanted to host an event that would be family friendly while also encouraging physical activity outdoors. I want to thank everyone who signed up to take part, the Council team who organised such a well-run event and our volunteers who clearly enjoyed throwing paint over everyone a bit too much!”
