Local company expands its operations in Lisburn

CASC, a Lisburn based manufacturing firm has plans to invest £1.7 million in business growth, staff skills development and job creation.
Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Development Committee Chairman said: “On behalf of the council I welcome this investment by family owned CASC and Invest Northern Ireland to the Lisburn & Castlereagh area. The confidence of CASC to expand their base in Lisburn will benefit our local economy. Through the planned further development of their staff CASC will use their skills to continue to provide quality, innovative solutions to the engineering, construction, renewables and utility sectors.
“The new machinery purchased by CASC as part of this investment will help increase their long-term growth in the offshore wind sector and unlock future international growth. I wish CASC every success with their ambitions. These will benefit their clients, the local economy and the sustainability of energy across the UK and further afield.”
Welcoming the creation of 26 new jobs, Alderman Amanda Grehan, Development Committee Vice-Chair added: “We welcome the range of new employment opportunities that CASC will be offering to our local workforce. They will include a mix of machine operators, site technicians, project managers, and electricians as well as support staff across finance, design and logistics. It is fantastic to see local companies investing in their people and planning a future in the Lisburn & Castlereagh area.”
