Lisburn & Castlereagh Symbol of Citizen Hope Campaign - Join the Rainbow Trail

March 27, 2020

Join the Rainbow Trail

ISLAND Arts Centre is encouraging children and adults across the city of Lisburn and Castlereagh to create a colourful rainbow for their windows and become part of a fun interactive nationwide ‘I-Spy a Rainbow Trail’.

Images of rainbows created by children are springing up in windows across the country in response to the coronavirus outbreak. These pictures of positivity have one simple message of hope - We’re all in this together.

Inviting citizens to take part, Alderman James Tinsley, the Chairman of Leisure and Community Development for Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, said:

"It is crucial we all #StayHome#StaySafe and do our part to fight COVID19.  It’s also important we look after our mental health and wellbeing by feeling connected and getting creative.

"This simple visual idea is a little day brightener and a wonderful way to let others know, you are thinking of them. So, please help spread the joy and make people smile as they spot your rainbow when passing your home!"

As sharing is caring, we'd also love you to send your pictures to ISLAND Arts Centre too for its digital ISLAND Family Gallery, that can share your art to others across the world.

Simply email Una @ una.casement@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk or send us a direct message via any of ISLAND Arts Centre’s social media channels.
