Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council raises £400 for British Heart Foundation

February 26, 2016

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council recently held staff coffee mornings in Bradford Court and Lagan Valley Island to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. The Council is a Heart City and this was one of a number of ongoing initiatives to support the vital work of the British Heart Foundation.

The Chair of the Heart City Working Group, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, said:  “I am delighted that we were able to raise £400.00 for the British Heart Foundation. I’d like to express my thanks to staff and Members who contributed either by baking or buying buns and cakes or joining me on the day to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.

“Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council will continue with its fund-raising efforts as a Heart City to help raise awareness of the British Heart Foundation,” she concluded.
