Lisburn and Castlereagh celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020!
November 4, 2020
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is delighted to once again celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). Running from 16th to 22nd November, the council’s Business Solutions Team will be hosting a range of online events to inspire and help you explore your potential as a self-starter and innovator.
GEW is the world’s biggest celebration of entrepreneurship. Every November, millions of people of all ages and backgrounds take part and recognise the importance of business innovation and those who have brought their ideas to life by launching business start-ups.
Launching this year’s programme of events, Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, Alderman Jim Dillon MBE, said: “We look forward to Global Entrepreneurship Week every year as it presents an opportunity for us to show new business owners and budding entrepreneurs the depth of support available to them.
“Innovators and job creators are the drivers behind economic growth across the Lisburn Castlereagh area and entrepreneurship remains one of the council’s economic development priorities.
“This year we’ve taken Global Entrepreneurship Week online so that we can safely accommodate as many local residents and businesses as possible. We have a great line-up of digital events taking place and I would encourage as many people as possible to sign up.”
