Hillsborough WorldHost Graduation

May 1, 2018

The WorldHost Graduation Ceremony recently took place in The Market House, Hillsborough when almost 90 people celebrated the completion of their WorldHost Ambassador training course.

This highly-acclaimed training was hosted by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, in conjunction with Tourism NI, and focused on developing and excelling customer service skills.

Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Chairman of the Council’s Development Committee said: “I am pleased that so many local businesses availed of the WorldHost training.  This is a ‘must have’ badge for customer services and with anticipated visitor numbers set to rise to up to 200,000 per annum in Hillsborough village due to the refurbishment works at Hillsborough Castle and the grand reopening in 2019 there is no better way for local businesses to prepare than to boost their customer service skills.”

People from a variety of businesses attended the one day course and a number of businesses also attained the accolade of WorldHost Business as over half of their staff completed the course.

Focusing on customer service and the importance of communication skills, addressing visitor needs and dealing with customer complaints the training also provided in-depth visitor information on Hillsborough village and the surrounding area.

When visitors see the WorldHost logo displayed in local businesses, they will know that those businesses have made an investment in providing a great experience and that their staff will give them the attention that they deserve.
