Grant aid available to aid business recovery across the Lisburn Castlereagh area

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is delighted to announce a second call for its ‘Small Business Grant Programme’. It has expanded the eligible areas to include businesses located outside the original boundaries. Applications can be submitted from Friday 2nd October 2020 until 5pm on Friday 16th October 2020.
This grant programme is funded by the Department for Communities (DfC) and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA). Any funding awards will be on a first come first served basis in line with the criteria.
The eligibility criteria has been expanded to include more areas within Lisburn, Dundonald, Carryduff urban areas. Full details are contained in the application form.
Alderman Jim Dillon MBE, Development Committee Chairman, said: “I am delighted to announce a further call for applications to this grant programme to support more local businesses to recover at this time. The inclusion of support to businesses within our large and small villages is welcomed by all partners in this programme. Grant assistance of £500 to £2,000 per business is available across different sectors. This funding can be used to purchase equipment or materials to provide safe working environments for everyone during Covid-19.”
Councillor Uel Mackin, Development Committee Vice-Chair added: “Our Economic Development team is looking forward to receiving further applications to this support grant programme. Allocated funding will be used to help businesses provide a safe and enjoyable experience for shoppers and visitors.”
