Give your views on improvement plans for Moira Park and Ride.
February 10, 2021
Translink started a period of public consultation on Monday 8th February in relation to its proposals to introduce much-needed enhancements to facilities at Moira Park and Ride. This includes over 400 additional parking spaces close to Moira Train Station.
The proposals are intended to significantly improve existing facilities and meet current and future demand in the area. The public consultation and will run for four weeks from now until Friday 5th March.
Ald Jim Dillon MBE, Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, said:
“Our public transport networks are vitally important and will play a key role in our economic recovery, connecting our communities to employment, education, healthcare, retail and health and wellbeing opportunities.
“These long sought after improvements to Moira Park and Ride will help restore vibrancy to the town and will be of great benefit to the people of Moira. I encourage all those living and working in Lisburn Castlereagh to engage with the consultation and forward your views.”
A webinar will be held on Wednesday 24th February at 6pm where you will have the opportunity to find out more about the proposal, ask questions and raise any queries you may have. For details on how to register and to view the online consultation go to www.gravisplanning.com/current/live-projects
