Expression of sympathy from Council Mayor, Councillor Thomas Beckett

The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has expressed his sorrow for the family of Mr Chance, who died following a coach accident in Belgium on Sunday.  Councillor Thomas Beckett said: “My deepest sympathy is with Mr Chance’s family.”

“This is a terrible tragedy.  We think too of the second coach driver who was injured in the accident and of the schoolchildren and their teachers from Brentwood School in Essex who were travelling on the coach.

“My prayers and thoughts are with Mr Chance’s family who will be suffering the most profound shock and grief, and, I know the wider community with Elected Members of the Council will be praying for the family at this terrible time.  We also are thinking of Mr Chance’s colleagues and his friends at Richmond Coaches.”
