Dunmurry ventilation manufacturer publishes lockdown cookbook
December 23, 2020
Alderman Jim Dillon MBE, Development Committee Chairman congratulates local business Brookvent on the cookbook it has published.
He said: “This local business took a unique approach to keeping in touch with its employee during the first lockdown when it had to close its manufacturing operations. It established a weekly online community magazine, encouraging contributions from the entire team. Week by week its content grew with advice, ideas, quizzes, prizes, and a Cookery Corner section.
“With so many recipes and contributions received by all its teams Brookvent was honoured to publish an official Brookvent cookbook. I would like to congratulate Brookvent on its creativity at keeping in touch during a pandemic and looking after the mental health of its employees.”
Declan Gormley, Managing Director added: “We simply had to pay tribute to the wonderful contributions from the team during such a difficult time. The recipes that were created and shared not only looked delicious, they also captured the emotion and challenge of the time we were living through. The book is testimony to the creativity, resilience, and perseverance of our employees.”
