Deputy Mayor welcomes Boys Brigade to Lagan Valley Island

The Deputy Mayor, Alderman Stephen Martin, hosted a reception for the Boys Brigade at Lagan Valley Island recently.
The BB has is very popular in the area, and was included in the Council’s award of Freedom of the City to voluntary Uniformed Organisations in 2014. The Council was also delighted to congratulate the BB on receiving the Queen’s Award for Volunteering earlier this year. It’s headquarters in the area is in Hillsborough. The organisation works with young people and is held in the highest esteem by the Council for its good works, dedication and community involvement.
