Council's Thoughts and Prayers with the Allen Family

On behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, our thoughts and prayers are with the Allen Family. The local community are in shock over Tuesday’s freak accident and I have no doubt that they will rally and support the family at this time.

I would also like to recognise the quick thinking actions of staff and members of the public who provided vital first aid in the moments after the accident and did their best to shield young schoolchildren from the trauma of the events unfolding as well as the emergency services who attended the scene.

It is so difficult to come to terms with how life can change in an instant and we will continue to pray for the Allen Family in the days and weeks ahead.
