Council Service shortlisted for MJ Award

June 19, 2018

The Council`s City Centre Management team has been successful in being shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Council Services Team in the MJ Local Government Achievement Awards which are UK wide awards that recognise the best local government services and personnel.  This is an excellent outcome for the team after development and delivery of a range of successful initiatives since the function was established in 2015 but more importantly is an excellent opportunity to promote and benchmark best practice and the excellent partnership working that takes place in Lisburn City Centre.

In celebration of this success businesses and stakeholders attended an event in Market Square, Lisburn to meet with the team, representatives of the Council and other stakeholders involved in the many City Centre initiatives.

Alderman William Leathem, Chair of the Council's Development Committee said, “I would like to congratulate our City Centre Management team in being shortlisted for this award. It is a credit to their hard work and co-ordination of the Council and other partners initiatives. The work they do supports the development of the City Centre and in these difficult economic times we all need to pull together to make it a success now and in the future.”
