Council Congratulate Lisburn Based Manufacturer Unicorn Group on Continued Growth

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council visited Unicorn Group to offer their congratulations after a period of continued business growth in the city area.

Based in the former Coca-Cola site in Lambeg, Lisburn, the Unicorn Group own a number manufacturing companies across multiple industries and distribute products to customers worldwide. The group is currently going through a period of rapid growth, through business acquisitions and increased sales activity.

Unicorn has been acquiring businesses for the past 20 years and have focused growing their business and manufacturing operations in Northern Ireland.

Commenting on the success of Unicorn Group, Alderman Allan Ewart MBE, Chairman of the council’s Development Committee said: “I welcome the new job opportunities and investment into our city by the Unicorn Group.  It is our ambition to make Lisburn Castlereagh the location of choice for business; and this becomes reality with Unicorn Group - bringing a wealth of talent, creativity and the highest skills level in Northern Ireland to our local economy.”

In 2019, Unicorn Group expanded through the purchase of two Co Antrim sister companies, specialist steel manufacturer PF Copeland and PFC Rainwater Systems.  With a total of 21 staff, the takeover increases the workforce of Unicorn from 85 to 106.
