Bake Event Showcases What’s Made in Lisburn Castlereagh

May 23, 2017

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council is counting down to its ‘Made in Lisburn Castlereagh’ showcase with a ‘Bake in Lisburn Castlereagh’ spin-off event in Market Square, Lisburn City Centre on Tuesday 6th June from 11.00am-2.00pm.

Try before you buy with creative bakery products made in Lisburn Castlereagh.  Meet businesses including the Windsor Bakery, Andrew Ingredients, Café-Vic Ryn, Arora Cafe, Jeffers Home Bakery, the Country Kitchen and more.

Do you want to be the next Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood? Baking is a very popular activity, now more than ever, partly due to cooking inspired television programmes and a rise in food costs. Shops are reporting an increase in sales of kitchen equipment and bakery ingredients and Lisburn Castlereagh can cater for all your baking needs. Come along on the 6th June, get inspired and improve your baking skills.  A local chef will be on hand to provide a live demonstration with practical advice and tips on how to use the ingredients stored in your cupboard to create some scrumptious delights!

Similar to the ‘Bake in Lisburn Castlereagh’ event, ‘Made in Lisburn Castlereagh’ will showcase the innovative products and talent that is on offer in the Council area whilst highlighting employment opportunities available.

Councillor Uel Mackin, Chairman of the Development Committee at Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council comments: “We are delighted to host this spin-off event in Market Square as part of ‘Made in Lisburn Castlereagh’. Lisburn Castlereagh has a vast range of excellent bakeries, cafes, restaurants and producers; leading the way in new baking techniques and creating delicious home style foods. I also invite you to come along to the main event in Lagan Valley Island on the 13th June to meet many of our leading exhibitors including Assa Abloy Security Doors, Leckey, Montupet UK, EDM Spanwall and Coca-Cola HBC.  Come along to see what products are made within your Council area and see what career opportunities exist with Lisburn Castlereagh's leading companies.

Businesses should contact Neil Dalzell at ND Events on 028 9263 3232 or neil@ndevents.co.uk if they wish to find out information on how to participate in Made in Lisburn Castlereagh on Tuesday 13th at Lagan Valley Island.
