APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED – Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Community Response Fund
April 24, 2020
We are now closed to new applications under the council’s COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Community Response Fund (24 April 2020).
The funds, developed for voluntary and community groups along with faith-based organisations who are actively helping our residents stay resilient at this time, proved extremely popular and as a result have been oversubscribed.
Speaking about the funding, Alderman James Tinsley, Leisure & Community Development Chairman, said: “The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Community Response Fund created by the council will help voluntary and community groups and faith-based organisations with the much-needed resources they require to deliver their services to those vulnerable or isolated members of our community. The level of applicants to the fund is clear evidence of the need and thank you to everyone who applied.
“Applications are now in the final stages of assessment and it is anticipated that all applicants will be notified on or before 30 April. I would encourage our voluntary and community groups and faith-based organisations to also look at other funding that is available and this can be viewed at: https://www.lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk/communityhelp/funding-opportunities.”
The council would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the voluntary and community groups for the valuable work they are doing in our communities. #lccc_communityheroes.
