Appeal for witnesses

March 19, 2021

Alderman Jim Dillon MBE, Development Committee Chairman and Councillor Alex Swan, Chairman of the Lisburn & Castlereagh PCSP have condemned the damage to the premises of local retailer Greens of Lisburn. This happened in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Speaking about the incident Alderman Dillon MBE said: “I am very disappointed that some individuals felt it was appropriate to damage private property and remove items without permission. This local retailer has served the local community for decades and invested in our city centre in recent years. Our essential retailers are working hard to keep their staff and customers safe during the coronavirus pandemic. We should be supporting them and I would urge anyone with information to please provide it to the PSNI.”

Councillor Swan added: “We are pleased the CCTV footage provided to the PSNI by Citywatch has positively assisted them with their investigation. We need your help to try and identify all the males caught on camera entering the back door of Greens. If you know anything about this incident please either call the PSNI on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 373 of 18/3/2021.”
