Councillor Uel Mackin Visits Local Business ASSA ABLOY Security

July 27, 2016

The Chairman of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, Councillor Uel Mackin, recently visited Lisburn-based business ASSA ABLOY Security and met with Managing Director, Brian Sofley, to see first-hand the operation behind this worldwide company and market leader in the design, manufacturing and installation of bespoke high performance steel doors and windows.

Speaking about his visit, Councillor Uel Mackin, said, “I am extremely proud to have a company of this stature located in the City of Lisburn. ASSA ABLOY is a prime example of how a local business, that exports a very high percentage of its product across the world, plays a vital role within the local economy, through apprenticeships and employment.  I would like to thank Brian for taking the time out of his busy schedule to show me around the factory floor and I wish Brian and his team of staff continued growth and success.”
